Super Star Destroyer Executor…. The Return.

Luego de un buen tiempo de ausencia en el blog por exceso de trabajo, por fin (en serio por fin, ya era una necesidad casi fisiológica j aja ja) vuelvo a publicar algo; al menos una foto de las que quedaron entre mis archivos del SSD Executor terminado…

Con esto vuelvo a las andadas con el blog, espero no volver a ausentarme nuevamente y por tanto tiempo…

El Executor en el 30 aniversario de “El imperio contraataca”

The Executor on “Empire Strikes Back´s” 30th anniversary

Mientras termino las fotos finales del Spha-T Walker quería compartir con ustedes un video emitido en un canal de televisión abierta de Lima-Perú en donde se emitió un informe acerca de la muestra organizada por mis amigos de Star Wars Rebellion Peru celebrando el 30 aniversario de ESB. El informe fue realizado por el programa de cine y entretenimiento “Cinescape” conducido por Bruno Pinasco que coincidentemente es un fan de starwars y en un instante del informe podrán ver mi maqueta del Executor que formo parte de la muestra como tambien mi modelo del caminante AT-TE.

While I finish the final pictures of the Spha-T Walker I wanted to share with you a video emitted in a television open channel of Lima-Perú where they emited a report about the exhibition organized by my friends of Star Wars Rebellion Peru celebrating 30th anniversary of ESB. The report was realised by the cinema and entertainment´s program “Cinescape” hosted by Bruno Pinasco that coincidently is an star War´s fan and at a moment of the report they will be able to see my scale model of the Executor that been part of the exhibition and to my AT-TE walker´s model too. 

La muestra estuvo excelente y para los que no asistieron o ven este mensaje desde fuera del Perú podrán apreciar algo de la muestra. Espero les guste.

The exhibition was excellent and for that they did not attend or see this message from outside Peru will be able to appreciate something of the exhibition. I hope you like it.

Music fan fest peru 2009…

El año pasado se realizó en Lima el Music Fan Fest Perú 2009 y mis amigos de StarWars Rebellion Perú me invitaron a participar en el evento mostrando mis trabajos en maqueta. El FFPerú es una convención de fanáticos organizada por los grupos de fans de StarWars (SWRP), Transformers (Transformers Perú) y Harry Potter (La Orden del Sol) que tuvo su primera edición el año 2008 con muy buena acogida y en donde también participe mostrando mis maquetas y un diorama construido con mi amigo Omar.

The past year the Music Fan Fest Peru 2009 was realised in Lima and my friends of StarWars Rebellion Peru, invited to me to participate in the event showing my works in scale models. The FFPerú is a convention of fanatics organized by the fangroups of StarWars (SWRP), Transformers (Transformers Peru) and Harry Potter (La Orden del Sol) that had its first edition the year 2008 with very good welcome and where also it participates showing to my scale models and a diorama constructed with my friend Omar.

El año pasado se hiso la 2da edición, pero ahora con una producción de por medio, en un local mucho más grande y con la participación de clubes de Fans de He-Man (me encanta esa colección también), Star Trek, Crepúsculo y además de diversos artistas y grupos musicales (¿?). En líneas generales el evento no salió tan bueno como el del año pasado, creo que a pesar que hubo una productora de por medio dejo mucho que desear y en fin supongo fueron cosas que escapaban del control de los grupos de fanáticos (co-organizadores del evento) ya que vi muy de cerca todo el esfuerzo depositado por sacar adelante el evento y porque vi como se armaron las muestras,… se que siempre se cuida mucho la calidad de sus exposiciones… fuera de las cosas que no salieron bien referidas al evento en general el espacio de SWRP estuvo como siempre muy bien armado y a la altura de anteriores eventos….

The past year was the 2th edition, but now with a production of by means, in the much more great premises and with the participation of fanclubs of He-Man (that collection also enchants to me), Star Trek, Twilight and besides diverse artists and musical groups (?). In main lines the event did not leave as good as the one of the last year, I believe that even though that there was a producer of by means I leave much to be desired and in aim I suppose were things that escaped of the control of the groups of fanatics (co-organizer of the event) since I saw close by all the deposited effort very remove the event ahead and so that I saw how they builded the exposition,…I know that always is taken care of the quality of its exhibitions… outside the things that did not leave generally or referred the event the SWRP space was very good as always like previous events….

En esta 2da convención de fanáticos fui invitado nuevamente a participar en el espacio destinado a Star Wars mostrando nuevamente mis maquetas en lo que se ha convertido desde hace ya un buen tiempo en una colaboración implícita con ellos. Las maquetas que mostré en esta ocasión fueron el AT-TE Walker escala 1:18, el Homing Spider Droid también en escala 1:18 (que aun no muestro en el blog,…) y por primera vez (fuera del blog) mi modelo a escala del Executor…

In this 2th convention of fanatics I was again invited to participate in the space destined to Star Wars showing again my scale models which one has become for already a good time an implicit collaboration with them. The scale models that I showed in this event were the AT-TE Walker in 1:18 scale, the Homing Spider Droid also in 1:18 scale (which not yet I show in my blog,…) and for the first time (outside blog) my Executor scale model…

Fuera de los inconvenientes del evento en general me encanto participar, me pareció genial poder mostrar por primera vez en vivo la maqueta del Super Star Destroyer Executor, aun no tenía el color gris azulado que posee ahora pero creo que fue una buena ocasión para que puedan ver la escala de la maqueta, para la gente que la vio en vivo y para ustedes que ahora la ven en fotos fuera de las que muestro comúnmente y con personas al costado, definitivamente les dará una mejor idea del tamaño del modelo…

Outside the disadvantages of the event generally I loved to participate in it, i seemed cool to be able to show the scale model of the Super Star Destroyer Executor live for the first time, not yet it had the bluish gray color that it owns now but I believe that it was a good oportunity so that the people can see the scale (size) of the model, for the people who saw it live and for you that they see now it in photos outside which I show commonly and with people next to the model, definitively this pics will give you a better idea of the size of it.

Super Star Destroyer Executor …. New Empire Strike Back´s deco…

Cuando presente las fotos de la maqueta del Executor terminada estaba realmente emocionado por haber terminado al fin este proyecto faraónico…

Pero siempre y muy en el fondo me quedo una sensación de que aun no lograba todo lo que quería con este modelo.

When I present the photos finished Executor´s scale model  i was really exited to have finished this pharaonic project…

But always and very at heart I remain a sensation of which not yet it obtained everything what wanted with this model.

Cuando comencé a diseñar el modelo tome como referencia unas fotos que encontré navegando por ahí en donde mostraban el modelo original usado en la filmación y en donde se mostraba un Executor de color gris claro promedio, al estilo de todas las naves y vehículos de StarWars… pero siempre mientras construía la maqueta y al mirar las fotos de producción y las capturas del DVD observaba un Executor de un alucinante color azulado…

When I began to design the model takes like reference photos that I found that way where they showed the used original model in the shooting and where was a clearly gray color´s Executor, in the style of all the ships and vehicles from StarWars… but always while it constructed the scale model to watch production photos and the captures of the DVD and I observed a Executor of a hallucinating bluish gray color…

Y es que hasta el último momento estuve en esa indecisión sobre ¿de qué color pintar la maqueta del Executor? Seria del clásico gris claro o el gris azulado que siempre veía en la pantalla en ESB… pues en ese momento me decidí por el típico gris claro…

And it is that until the last moment I was in that indecision on of what color to paint the scale model of the Executor? Serious of the classic clear gray or the bluish gray that always it saw in the screen in ESB… then I decided by the typical clear gray…

Pues como siempre me quedó la inquietud de verlo tal y como sale en ESB pues tomé la muy difícil decisión de repintarla en tono azulado guiándome de esta foto que fue la que me reveló el camino…

Then as always I remain the restlessness to see it as it leaves in ESB because I made the very difficult decision to repaint it in bluish tone guiding to me of this photo that was the one that revealed the way to me…

Aunque es una foto en muy baja resolución creo que me permitía ver al menos el tono de azul que debía tener el conjunto…

Digo “difícil decisión” por que supongo el cambio les gustara a algunos y a otros no… pero bueno tenía muchas ganas de verlo en su versión ESB … y así quedó…

Although it is a very low resolution´s photo I believe that it allowed to see at least the tone me of blue that must have the set…

I say “difficult decision” so that i suppose the change liked to some ones and not to others… but by way i did have many desire to see it in its ESB´s version … and here is it…

En realidad no es un repintado en el sentido estricto de la palabra, lo que hice fue crear un color gris azulado al que le aumente agua… logrando una especie de veladura sobre el color anterior.. ya que tampoco me disgustaba el gris claro así que solo le cambie la tonalidad y esto fue lo que salió…

In fact he is not a repaint in the strict sense of the word, I´ve created a bluish gray color to which it increases water… obtaining a species of patina on the previous color. since it did not displease the clear gray either to me so it only changes to the tonality and this to it was what left…

Como siempre tomé muchas fotos del “nuevo Executor” y procure tener nuevos ángulos nunca antes mostrados de la maqueta … así que mostrare la totalidad de las fotos en 2 post de los cuales este es el primero..

Creo que esta actualización del Executor cae perfecto para conmemorar los 30 años del estreno de ESB… así que me lo tomo como una especie de homenaje a la película de star Wars que más me gusta…

As always I took many photos from the “new Executor” and i´ve try to have new angles never before shown of the scale model… so I will show you the totality of the photos in 2 posts of which this is the first one.

I think that this update of the Executor is perfect to commemorate the 30 years of the ESB movie… so it´s like a kind of tribute to the film of star Wars that I like more…
