The Marvel´s thematic park in Dubái
Debo reconocer que no soy un gran fanático de Marvel (la frase anterior solo sirve para esconder mi total ignorancia acerca del universo Marvel)… pero luego de ver estas imágenes quede maravillado; como arquitecto y como entusiasta del diseño en todas sus formas no podía quedar indiferente ante el maravilloso proyecto del parque temático del mundo de Marvel que se está desarrollando en las afueras de Dubai.
I must recognize that I´m not a great fan of Marvel (the previous phrase only serves to hide-and-seek my total ignorance about the Marvel universe)… but after to see these images I´ve been astonished; as architect and as enthusiastic and of the design in all its forms could not be indifferent in front the wonderful project of the thematic park of the world of Marvel that this being developed in the outskirts of Dubai.
Si alguno de ustedes sabe algo de arquitectura o al menos lee un buen diario de vez en cuando debe saber que en Dubai (parte de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos) en este momento se construye la arquitectura más ambiciosa, espectacular, afiebrada y delirante del mundo (lo que no quiere decir que sea la de mejor calidad necesariamente, en muchos casos pienso que solo es pobremente espectacular… en fin, eso es otro tema que no desarrollare aquí) y pues no me sorprende que un proyecto tan singular como este se encuentre allí. El proyecto me parece realmente impresionante, cumple definitivamente con el propósito de sorprender por su refinado y excéntrico diseño, como sacado de una fantasía surrealista o producto de un viaje de drogas duras setenteras… Las imágenes que ven aquí son solo por el momento los dibujos conceptuales y bocetos para atracciones, juegos y ambientes del parque, aun se encuentra en etapa de desarrollo, pero por lo visto en las imágenes será un sueño hecho realidad para los fanáticos de los comics y en general para todos los que amamos la fantasía…. ¡se ve increíble!
If some of you knows something of architecture or at least reads some good newspaper from time to time must to know that in Dubai (part of the United Arab Emirates) at this moment is building the most ambitious, spectacular, feverish and delirious architecture of world (what it does not mean that is the one of better quality necessarily, in many cases I think that´s only poorly spectacular … so, that is another subject that it will not develop here) and then it does not surprise me that a singular project like this is there. The project seems to me really impressive, definitively fulfills in order to surprise by its refining and eccentric design, as removed from a surrealistic fantasy or product of a seventies hard drug trip… The images that you see here are only at the moment the conceptual drawings and sketches for attractions, games and atmospheres of the park, it even is in development stage, but by the sight in the images it will be a dream made reality for the comic fans and generally for which we loved the fantasy…. It looks incredible!
Su inauguración está planeada para el año 2012, el parque se organiza a modo de mini ciudad con zonas bien definidas que conmemorarán a los héroes mas representativos de la editorial y que contara con atracciones, cines y juegos totalmente ambientados o inspirados en las aventuras, estética y ambientes del mundo de los súper héroes de Marvel tales como Iron Man, Spider man, Hulk, Thor etc..
Its inauguration is planned for year 2012, the park is organized as a mini city with defined zones or that will commemorate to the representative heroes but of the publishing house and that it will count with attractions, cinemas and games acclimated or inspired by the adventures, aesthetic and totally ambient of the world and the of the Marvel´s super heroes such as Iron Man, Spider man, Hulk, Thor etc…
