Boba Fett´s Rifle EE-3 -ROTJ
Para los que asistieron a la inauguración de la exposición por los 30 años de ESB organizado por Star Wars Rebellion Perú en Lima no será ninguna novedad ver este rifle ya que era el que uso boba Fett en el evento. A partir de hoy por aquí les mostraré lo que fue el proceso de construcción del rifle, espero que les guste.
For that people that went to the inauguration of the exhibition for the 30 years of ESB organized by Star Wars Rebellion Peru in Lima it will not be any newness to see this rifle since he was the one that use Boba Fett in the event. As of today and this way I will show you what was the construction process of the rifle, I hope you like it.
Este es un trabajo hecho por encargo para la tienda de juguetes de colección de Lima Panchurritoys. Cuando me propusieron construir el rifle del legendario Boba Fett para completar un traje me pareció una oportunidad genial de reproducir por primera vez un arma de la saga de Star wars en escala 1:1, hasta el momento solo había hecho modelos a escala pero nunca una réplica a escala real, así que el encargo fue doblemente tentador y me puse a trabajar en ello.
This it is a work done by order for the toys of collection´s store Panchurritoys in Lima. When they proposed me to construct the rifle of the legendary Boba Fett to complete a suit seemed to me a brilliant opportunity to reproduce for the first time a weapon of the saga of Star wars in 1:1 scale, until the moment i had only made scale models but never a prop replica in real scale, so the order was doubly tempting and I put myself to work in it.
El encargo se trataba de reproducir el arma de Boba Fett vista en el Regreso del Jedi que, como explicare luego, es bastante diferente a la que vemos en ESB, es un detalle en el que hasta ese momento no había reparado, no solo los trajes tienen diferencias sino también los rifles de Boba Fett.
The order was to reproduce the weapon of Boba Fett seen in Return of the Jedi that, as i explain then, is quite different from that we see in ESB, it´s a detail in which until that moment it had not repaired, not only the suits have differences but also the Boba Fett´s rifles.
Durante el proceso de producción de ESB se buscaba dotar de un arma al nuevo personaje de soporte de la película el cazarecompenzas Boba Fett y entre otras armas se planteo el que use un rifle de cañón corto que fue diseñado a partir de un arma real. Se tomó como base una pistola de fogueo que servía para lanzar señales luminosas marca Webley and Scott No. 1 (Mark "1") fabricada en 1917 y que fue usada durante la 1ra guerra mundial. A esa arma se le aumento un cañón mas largo convirtiéndola en un pequeño rifle y que es el que vimos en las escenas de la ciudad de las nubes de Bespin.
During the production process of ESB they looked for to equip with a weapon to the new support´s character of the film the bountyhunter Boba Fett and among others arms they consider that he uses a short tube´s rifle that was designed from a real weapon. It was taken as it bases a blank pistol that served to send luminous signals brand Webley and Scott no. 1 (Mark " 1") made in 1917 and that was used during 1th world war. To that weapon they increase a long tube but becoming it on an small rifle and that is the one that we saw in the scenes of Cloud City in Bespin.

Para la producción de ROTJ este rifle se modifico aun mas, lo pintaron totalmente de negro con lo que eliminaron esa imagen medio western del rifle usado en ESB y la dotaron a mi parecer de una imagen más impresionante para el cazarecompenzas.
For the ROTJ´s production this rifle was modified even more they totally painted in black and so they eliminated that kind of western image of rifle used in ESB and they equipped it of a more impressive image for the bountyhunter to me.
Antes de saber que construiría este rifle pensaba que el rifle visto en ESB era el mejor de todos, pero ahora luego de ver muchas veces las fotos de referencia y construirlo pieza por pieza ahora puedo decir que el mejor rifle es el que uso Boba Fett en ROTJ, la nueva imagen es simplemente genial.
Before I know that I would construct this rifle i thought that the rifle seen in ESB was the best one of all, but now after to see often the reference pictures and to construct it piece by piece now I can say that best rifle is the one than Boba Fett uses in ROTJ, the new image is simply brilliant.
