Ahora que estamos en plena fiebre Clone Wars (bueno al menos entre los fans de Star Wars) creo que es bueno recordar lo que fue el primer tráiler de Star Wars de 1977. Ante los continuos retrasos en la producción a causa de los entonces complicadísimos efectos especiales y la premura del estreno la 20th Century Fox prácticamente obligó a George Lucas a lanzar algo de la película y fue entonces que se lanzo este tráiler que sería el primero de todos los que se conoce. Me imagino la cara de extrañeza de la gente ante el anuncio de esa extraña película con naves espaciales, un hombre de negro con capa y mascara, un mono gigante gruñendo y soldados con armaduras blancas disparando… en fin, todo lo original que propuso Star Wars y que la convirtió en un mito moderno de la cultura popular.

Now that we are in the heat of fever Clone Wars (good at least between Star Wars´s fans) I think that it is good for remembering what was the first Star Wars´s trailer of 1977. In view the continuous delays in the production because of then the most complicated special effects and the pressure of the opening, 20th Century Fox forced George Lucas to show something about the film, and was practically then that he send this trailer that would be first that it is known. I imagine the face of surprise of people before the announcement of that strange film with spaceships, a black man with cloak and mask, a giant monkey grunting and troopers with white armors shooting… any way, all the original things that Star Wars proposed and turned that it into a modern myth of the popular culture.

Me parece lo máximo ver en el tráiler que ni siquiera estaba terminada la edición total de la película…. Nótese que aun no se presenta el logo clásico de la saga, aun solo se le conoce como Star Wars, no tiene el nombre que tiene ahora “episodio 4 Una Nueva Esperanza”; no tiene la clásica música de Jhon Wiliams de fondo, tiene cualquier música de suspenso; gran parte de las escenas tienen los sonidos ambientales captados del set de grabación, sobre todo en la escena en donde Darth Vader ahorca y lanza a un rebelde en los pasillos de la nave de la princesa Leia, Vader no tiene el clásico sonido de su respirador artificial y tampoco se escuchan sus diálogos ya que fueron grabados en post producción por el actor James Earl Jones; los sables de luz en la pelea entre Vader y el viejo Obi Wan en los pasillos de la Estrella de la muerte son blancos en vez de tener sus clásicos colores Rojo y azul respectivamente y muchos más detalles que notaran al ver el tráiler…

I think is cool to see in the trailer that not even was finished the total edition of the film…. Look at that not yet appears the classic logo of the saga, is even only known it like Star Wars, does not have the name that has “episode 4, A New Hope”; it does not have the classic music of Jhon Wiliams, has any music of suspension; great part of the scenes has the caught environmental sounds of the recording set, mainly in the scene where Darth Vader hangs and sends to a rebel in the corridors of the ship of princess Leia, Vader does not have the classic sound of its artificial respirator and their dialogues are not listened to either since they were recorded by the actor James Earl Jones in post production; the lightsabers in the fight between Vader and the old Obi Wan in the corridors of the Death Star are white instead of to have their classic colors Red and blue respectively and many more details than noticed when seeing the trailer…

Me parece genial siempre tener presente de donde nació toda esta fiebre por Star Wars... en tiempos tal vez más civilizados.

I think is cool to always remember from where this fever by Star Wars was born … in perhaps more civilized times.
